This is a note from a former newsletter reader of mine, Rachel Martinez. Now days Rachel works as a bookkeeper and she's been nice enough to volunteer some bookkeeping help specifically for cleaning contractors. | I don't have QuickBooks but I checked out her EXCEL version and as Rachel say's it's a great starting point for cleaning contractors who want to do their books right. So, if you want to make sure you're getting proper credit from the IRS for all your business expenses check it out.
Thanks Rachel!

James,
I enjoyed reading your newsletters a few years ago when I worked with a janitorial company. I'm glad to see you're still with it.
In my new life I do freelance bookkeeping and web projects. I recently added a section for cleaning contractors to my QuickBooks Support Blog. It includes a sample Chart of Accounts for cleaning services that can be used as a starting point, with or with out QuickBooks.
Take a look at http://knoxvillebookkeeper.com/blog/industry-specific-information/cleaning-janitorial-services/
If you think your readers would find it useful feel free to link to it.
Thanks,
Rachel Martinez
